Finally, I wish to remember the millions of Allied servicemen and prisoners of war who lived the story of the Second World War. Many of these men never came home; many others returned bearing emotional and physical scars that would stay with them for the rest of their lives. I come away from this book with the deepest appreciation for what these men endured, and what they scarified, for the good of humanity. It is to them that this book {Unbroken} is dedicated. |

Twenty-five million veterans are living among us today. These men and women selflessly set aside their civilian lives to put on the uniform and serve us. |

November, 2014 Issue
This is an excellent representation of items that sell well on the internet: digital cameras, jewelry, musical instruments, collectibles and electronics. There just may be some of this stuff in your house that you can easily exchange for cash. Take a fresh look around!
Most of our iSold It Stores also do media buybacks, a great way to get rid of old DVDs, video games and even textbooks!
One of the good things about eBay is that the company performs two major updates each year- the Spring and Fall Seller updates. These keep the site vibrant and ensure it is staying in touch with their customers. The updates also cause eBay sellers, like us here at iSold It, to make sure our listings adhere to the new regulations.
For example, this fall, there are new seller standards and feedback measurements. We keep up with these changes so you don't have to. It makes it easier for you to drop off items with us that we can sell for you on eBay, knowing you will not have to understand all of the constantly changing rules.
Do you know someone that could benefit from our services? A very simple way to introduce them to iSold It is to click the Forward to a Friend button just below.

November 11th became Veterans Day because an armistice between the Allied nations and Germany went into effect on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month in 1918. That's why, even though the Treaty of Versailles was signed on June 28th, 1919, November 11th, 1918 is usually regarded as the "war to end all wars."
On May 13th, 1938, November 11th became a national holiday known as Armistice Day. On June 1st, 1954, Armistice was removed and the word Veterans inserted to also recognize the service of veterans in World War II and the Korean Conflict.
According to the VA website the day now is "A celebration to honor America's veterans for their patriotism, love of country, and willingness to serve and sacrifice for the common good."
If Thanksgiving (November 27th), All Saints Day (November 1st) and All Souls Day (November 2nd) are not enough for you, following are three more days to celebrate in November:
- Sadie Hawkins Day (November 3rd): This originated from the Li’l Abner comic strip where Hekzebiah Hawkins felt his homely daughter, Sadie, would struggle finding a mate. He organized a race where Sadie would chase all the unmarried men in town. If she nabbed one, he had to marry her! Today, it generally means a woman asking a man to dance on the first Saturday of November.
- World Kindness Day (November 13th): In 1998, the World Kindness Movement got this on the map. It’s a day that “encourages everyone to look deep into their hearts past religion, race, and other differences to do something nice for their neighbors and/or humankind.”
- National Clean Out Your Refrigerator Day (November 15th): Although it is rumored that this day was started by the WhirlPool Corporation, the true origins of this day are unknown. This day is a great reminder to clean out that fridge prior to Thanksgiving to make room for all the fixings for that Turkey dinner as well as all the food for the upcoming holiday get togethers with family and friends.
